How to manage templates
With SendPulse, you can create adaptive templates to notify your subscribers about an event or send other useful information via email.
You can also create template folders to organize them by specific labels. For example, you can keep all emails related to ordering a product on your site in a separate folder or use them to send out emails about upcoming events and promotions.
In this article, we will look at how to create and work with templates and folders.
Working with templates
Create a template
You can create a template in the Email templates tab or in the Message Content section when creating a campaign and in the Email element when creating automation.
Go to the Email templates tab, and click Add Template.
Choose whether to create a template in the drag and drop builder or HTML editor or import a template.

You can also choose a template from our library, and after you make a copy in the Personal folder, you'll have the option to move the template into the folder.
Go to the Template library tab, and select Edit template from the menu.

Find a template
You can find a template by its full or partial name using the search box. Start typing, and it will automatically search for templates with the name you entered.
View templates
You can display your files as a list or gallery.
Gallery view is useful when you want to see file previews.
The list view shows the full name of your template and allows you to see more templates on the screen.
Move a template to a folder
All templates are created in the root folder by default. To move a template to your created folder, click on the arrow next to the template name, and select the folder to which it should be moved from the context menu.
You can also move the template by dragging and dropping it to the necessary folder.
Edit a template
Go to the Email templates tab, and select Edit Template from the menu next to the desired template name.
Note that when you create an email campaign or an Email element in A360, a copy of the template is created in the email campaign builder. If you edit a template in Automations, it does not change in the template builder.
Conversely, if you edit a template in the template builder, it does not change in the email campaign builder or Automations. You will need to cancel the scheduled email campaign and create a new one. You will need to delete the template in the Email element in Automations and add the changed copy.
Delete a template
Click on the arrow next to the template name, and choose Delete template from the context menu.
Please note that deleting a template in the template builder does not remove an email based on it from the scheduled campaign or the Email element in Automations.
Working with folders
Create a folder
Go to the Email Templates > Personal tab, and click New Folder.
Enter a folder name, and click Save.
You can also create folders within other folders and build up the hierarchy with up to three levels. To do this, select a folder, open it, and click New Folder.
Move a folder
To move a template folder to another folder, click on the three dots icon in the right corner of the folder, and select where to move it from the context menu.
You can also move a folder by dragging and dropping it.
Rename a folder
Navigate to the folder, and select Rename from the context menu next to the folder name.
You can also rename your folder in the folder list. Click on the three dots in the right corner of the folder, and select "Rename" from the context menu.
Find a folder
You can search for a folder by its full or partial name using the search box. Start typing, and it will automatically start searching for folders with the name you entered.
View folders
You can choose to display your folders as a list or as a gallery.
The list view shows the full folder name, and allows to see more folders fit on the screen.
Deleting a folder
To delete a single folder, select it, the desired folder and click Delete.
Note that all templates in the folder are deleted along with the folder. If you need to keep a template, move it to another folder before deleting it.
To delete multiple folders, select all folders, and click Delete.
