How to create a contact

CRM contacts allow you to store and manage customer data, communicate effectively, track interactions, personalize marketing, and enhance customer service.

In this article, we will talk about how to create a contact in the CRM system and add data to it.

Go to the Contacts section and click Add contact.

Specify contact data

Enter contact information.

Name Enter your contact’s first and last name in two fields.
Email Enter the email address as user@example.com.
Phone number Select a country, and enter a corporate phone number next to the country code.
Messaging app Select a messaging app, and enter your contact’s username in this messaging app. When you click on the icon you will be redirected to a specific messenger to chat with your client.

Assign a team member

Select a team member to assign to manage this contact.

To select a team member, you need to invite a user, and select their role with access to CRM: Contacts. Learn more: User roles.

Add attributes

You can also add additional contact information using fields and tags. For example, a contact's location, position in the company, or other notes.

To add a tag, start typing a tag name in the Tags field, and select the one from the list.

To add a new field, click Add field. Then, enter a name and select the field type. Check if you want to make the field mandatory. Enter a value in the field, and click Enter.

Add a file

You can attach files to a contact to share them with all its members. Click + Add File, choose a file from your account storage, or upload a new file from your device.

All services share the same file storage. You can add a file of any extension except executable.

The maximum file size the free plan allows is 200 MB. Your file storage capacity is not defined by services but is set based on the storage capacity of the largest pricing plan among all services. To increase your storage capacity, upgrade your pricing plan.

Click Add contact.

Once added, your contact will be available in your contact list. You can use it when creating deals and tasks.
