How to add an external integration

Using the app directory, you can add your solutions to integrate with other platforms. Unlike an app, an external integration is set up through an external resource and managed outside a SendPulse account.

In this article, we'll talk about how to add an external integration using the SendPulse app directory.

Add your integration

Go to App directory > Home.

If you're creating a solution for the first time, click Become developer and type in your developer name.

If you've added a solution before, click Add solution.

Select the External integration solution type.

Keep in mind that once you select a solution type, you will not be able to change it later.

Click Continue.

Add integration information

In the General Information tab, fill in your integration data:

Name Enter your integration name — it will be visible to users.
SendPulse tool Select the SendPulse tool you have integrated with.

This tool will later become the category where users can find your integration.

Describe your integration features and setup process in the following fields:

Description Briefly outline your integration features and what users can accomplish by setting it up.
Key features Describe the actions your integration will take with user data within the selected SendPulse tool. For example: "Manually export all contacts from a spreadsheet to a mailing list," "Automatically create tasks for missed calls," and so on.
Setup guide Describe how to set up and manage your integration.

Format your text using the toolbar if needed.

You must add an integration description in English. Optionally, you can also add descriptions in other languages in the Additional data tab.

In the Logo section click Select and upload your integration logo.

Recommended file size: 250x250px, up to 2MB in PNG, JPG, or JPEG format.

In the External integration link field, share the link to a page where users can set up your integration.

Add more information that can help users:

Support information Add an email address where users can reach out if they have questions about your app.

Notifications will also be sent to this email address.

Privacy Policy link Share the link to your privacy policy that outlines how users' personal information is collected and used.

Once you fill out the form, click Save.

Provide additional data

In the Additional details tab > the Categories section, select tags.

In the App screenshots section, add images showing your integration features.

Make sure to set English as your UI language before taking screenshots. You can add images in JPEG, PNG, or JPG formats with dimensions up to 1600x900 px.

To add your integration description translations, click + Add description in another language.

You can add descriptions in the languages supported by SendPulse.

After adding more information, click Continue to save it.

To make your integration description available to all SendPulse users, submit it for review.
