How to assign a team member to a student

You can assign a team member to certain students. This will help distribute the workload among your team members, assign instructors based on their skills and experience, and segment your course audience.

How to assign a team member

To assign an instructor to one student, click the three dots next to the student, and select Assign team member.

If you assign an instructor to multiple students, select them from the list, and click Assign team member in the panel that appears.

You can also create a student group and assign a team member to this group.

Select a team member from the dropdown list, and click Assign.

You can limit any instructor’s access to students in their role settings.

You can also filter the Questions and Answers sections by assigned team members.

How to reassign a student to another team member

You can unassign an instructor or assign another one.

Click the three dots next to a student's name, or select multiple students from the list, and click Assign team member. In the modal window, select an action:

No team member Unassign an instructor and leave a student without an assigned team member.
Other team member Reassign a student to a team member from the dropdown list.

If students get reassigned, their new instructors will be able to access all their available data, including questions and answers. The system saves all student data points.

A student may have multiple assigned instructors, for example, one from a group and another one assigned individually. This means that both of these instructors will see this student’s data.
