How to create a socials widget
You can add a floating panel with social media buttons to invite a user to follow you on social media or subscribe to your chatbot.
A Socials widget is displayed on all of your site pages without any condition limits. If you want to display a widget based on a scenario, create a smart pop-up with the Messaging app element.
Enable your widget
In your project, go to Settings > Socials widget and enable the Add a floating panel with social media buttons option.
Customize your button
Choose a social media platform
Select a social network your button will lead to (Telegram, WhatsApp, Viber, Messenger, YouTube, Instagram, Twitter, Snapchat, or a custom link).
Additional fields you need to fill out will be displayed based on the selected social network.
Add a button title
Type in the text that will be displayed next to the icon.
Add a link
You can select a connected chatbot or enter your social media profile link.
Chatbot subscription
With SendPulse, you can create a Telegram, WhatsApp, Instagram, and Facebook Messenger chatbot. When the user clicks on a link to your bot, they will see an opened chat window and receive a welcome flow. Read more: Who Is a Chatbot Subscriber and How to Launch a Bot via a Link or QR Code.
Select a bot you created with SendPulse or add a link to a chatbot created with another builder.
If you have chosen a SendPulse-based chatbot, select a flow that will be launched once the user subscribes to your bot.
The process of chatbot launch may vary for different users, as it depends on whether they were subscribed to your bot or not. Read more: How to launch a bot via a link or QR code.
Social media links
You can also add a link to your social media profile instead of connecting a chatbot. Select a social network and the Specify your link option.
If you can’t find the necessary social media platform on the list, select Custom link.
Paste your link into the field.
For example, you can add a link to your Viber group or chat, YouTube channel or video, Facebook community or post, and so on.
Add more buttons
You can add up to 10 different social media buttons to one floating panel. Click Add button and repeat the process to set it up.
Preview
On the right, you can see what your panel will look like on your site.
Save your widget
Once you've finished customizing your buttons, click Save.
Your widget will be displayed once you save your changes. If it is not displayed, clear your cache and cookies and check your connection to the site.
